La Scuola Roundtable: Embracing Languages and Technology as Tools in Reggio Inspired Schools

lascuolablog Development, Reggio Emilia

On February 21st, over 70 educators from around California visited our campus to participate in our Innovative Teacher Project Roundtable, and learn how our teachers use technology in the classroom with different age groups. It was a wonderful day and a very successful educational event. We are very proud of our team of faculty and staff!

Heather Morado, Director of the ITP, said that this was the best roundtable she had attended. Other educators in attendance said that they were inspired, surprised and were very complimentary of the competence, enthusiasm and presentation skills of our teachers. Our teachers showcased projects they did with students, including the creation of an animated musical video using playdough figures inspired by Keith Haring and stop motion graphics.

Professional development of our teachers is a core value of La Scuola, and to be able to do that for other educators was a privilege. I would also like to thank our administrative team, our parents volunteers and Preschool Director, Federica Lentini, for the hard work in putting it all together!  You can view the presentation here.
